隨身帶一本小筆記本（納博科夫身上裝滿了小卡片），當(dāng)你對(duì)你的構(gòu)思小說(shuō)，文章，或是小說(shuō)里的人物有什么靈感的時(shí)候，馬上記下來(lái)。當(dāng)你聽到別人談話的只言片語(yǔ)所有頓悟時(shí)，看到一段散文詩(shī)或是一句歌詞讓你很感動(dòng)時(shí)，都可以馬上當(dāng)他們記下來(lái)。靈感總是轉(zhuǎn)瞬即逝的，你及時(shí)的記錄下來(lái)，可以成為你寫作的素材。我的習(xí)慣是，為我的博客要寫的文章列一個(gè)清單，不斷的補(bǔ)充它。

每天找一段沒(méi)有任何打擾的時(shí)間作為專門的寫作時(shí)間，讓這成為習(xí)慣。對(duì)我而言，清晨的時(shí)間是最佳的，午飯，傍晚，或者深夜的那段時(shí)間也可以。無(wú)論你有多忙，把寫作當(dāng)作每天必須完成的任務(wù)去做。每天至少寫半個(gè)小時(shí)，當(dāng)然有一個(gè)小時(shí)更好。請(qǐng)你不要擔(dān)心，這只會(huì)讓你寫得更好。
